On July 18, 2025, the SA360 team came together in a beautiful tribute to Nelson Mandela Day, a day that calls us to embody the spirit of compassion, unity, and service. This year, we didn’t just honor Madiba’s legacy with our actions—we poured our hearts into creating a moment of joy and dignity for those who need it most.
In the bustling warmth of our Cape Town office, the SA360 team gathered, not just with bags overflowing with pre-loved clothes for men, women, and children, but with a shared vision to do things differently. We brought teddy bears & toys, but more importantly, we brought time, care, and intention. This wasn’t about dropping off donations in black bags at The Haven Night Shelter Retreat. This was about giving a gift wrapped in love, respect, and humanity.
For 67 minutes—a nod to Madiba’s 67 years of service—we transformed our office into a space of connection and purpose. Irons steamed, boards clattered, and laughter filled the air as we unpacked every donated item. Each piece of clothing was carefully ironed, folded with precision, and wrapped in colorful ribbon, turning simple donations into parcels of hope. These weren’t just clothes; they were a message to the homeless and less fortunate: You are seen. You are valued. You deserve joy.
The energy in the room was electric. Colleagues swapped stories, shared smiles, and marveled at the growing stacks of neatly wrapped parcels. From tiny children’s jackets to cozy sweaters for adults, every item was handled with care, as if we were preparing gifts for our own loved ones. We imagined the faces of those who would open these parcels—the spark of excitement, the warmth of feeling cared for. That thought kept us going, ironing and folding with a rhythm that felt almost sacred.
By the end of our 67 minutes, we stood back and looked at the piles of beautifully wrapped packages, each one a small act of kindness tied with a ribbon of hope. Our marketing team went down to deliver all these items to The Haven Night Shelter Retreat and handed them over to the manager & social worker, ensuring they reached those who need them most.
